The Music Shed presents an 3-day crash course for complete beginners! Go beyond the conventional guitar lesson and REALLY learn how to play the guitar.
Understand how the instrument works and learn the language of music. Participants can expect to learn the building blocks of music and its application to the instrument. This crash course aims to equip students with the knowledge and technical know-how to play songs of their choice.
This holiday exclusive workshop will be led by our senior guitar instructor Justyn Kang.

Do I Need Guitar Playing Experience to Join?
No, this workshop is for complete beginners who are interested in learning the guitar. No guitar-playing experience is needed to participate.
Do I Need to Bring Anything?
If you don't own a guitar, we will be happy to provide you with one. Guitars are available on a first come first serve basis, so we advise students without instruments to register early in order to avoid disappointment. Feel free to bring along your own guitar if you already own one.

Instructor Profile
Guitarist, Justyn Kang
Electric Guitar & Acoustic Guitar Instructor
With over a decade of teaching experience under his belt, Justyn has taught children as young as 4, and adults as young as 72. His guitar teaching experience includes conducting MOE workshops in Primary and Secondary schools, teaching inmates at Tanah Merah Prison, and teaching special-needs students with autism and physical disabilities.
Hailing from a family of teachers, Justyn is passionate about teaching music. He works relentlessly to improve, revise, and find new methods to impart his knowledge and inspire his students. To date, he has produced a one hundred percent distinction rate for his students’ graded examinations.
A music graduate from LASALLE College of the Arts, he has played professionally for studio recordings, nightclubs, private functions, and MediaCorp events. Justyn is the guitarist behind the official soundtracks for Vasantham television shows Vettai 3, and Ragasiyam.
